Nobody knows a cottage better than those who have actually stayed in it, which is why we always ask our visitors to give us their opinions and thoughts about their stay. We hope you find the reviews useful. There are also more testamonials on the property page.
3 DOLPHIN STREET Seven of us, comprising of three generations, enjoyed a half term break here. Deal is well situated with many attractions;Canterbury, Sandwich, Dover etc. nearby. We found the house very comfortable – once we had mastered how to get in It is well equipped and with high spec appliances. Bathrooms are lovely. Beds very comfy. The sea at the end of the road was a real bonus. We parked, free of charge, about a 4 minute walk away along the sea front. Camilla at Keepers Cottages was easy to deal with and very helpful.
GLEN HILL Organised a big celebration weekend with 16 mates. The place was AMAZING in every way, could not have gone better. Thank you so much Camilla for all your help. I will definitely be back again
SAMPHIRE COTTAGE The house was spacious, clean, comfortable, delightfully ‘Country Living’ chic. The garden is large and parking was easy. Everything in Deal is in easy walking distance.
PILOTS HOUSE An extended family of four generations all enjoyed a recent stay at Pilot’s house. The house was very well equipped and with ample room for all of us. Sweet little garden with excellent garden furniture. Easy walking distance to Deal town centre. We didn’t need to get in the car all week!
CENTRAL HOUSE We had a friends gathering in Deal, with a number of young kids. We absolutely loved the place, spent a lot of time enjoying the views from the living room, walking on the beach and exploring the area. The house is very clean, comfortable and stylish. Absolutely recommended.
6 CAPSTAN ROW Comfortable, attractive cottage, a few yards from the sea. We were four and we found it ideal. Cottage is very well equipped, everything you could need and all of good quality, not always the case in rentals. From booking through picking up the keys and the actual stay it was a most agreeable experience.
CLIFFESIDE COTTAGE in Kingsdown is a lovely cottage in a great location. If you exit the rear garden of the cottage Kingsdown beach is around 150 yards down a private road. Couldn’t be better! The cottage has everything you need with a private but spacious garden and parking right outside on the road. Kingsdown is a nice village with three great pubs all within very easy walking distance of the cottage. The beach is pebbly and bracing but fun. Deal is very close and can be quite easily walked to along the beach. All in all we had a lovely time (myself, wife, sons -15 & 12 and dog). Would certainly return!
LAPWING COTTAGE I really liked this cottage. It’s in a nice spot close by the lifeboat station at Walmer and near to a fantastic cafe on the green. It’s always good when the owner provides teas, coffees, a complementary bottle and basic cooking ingredients so you won’t need to buy all of the basics for a weekend. The beds are ridiculously comfortable and the place is clean and tidy. We had an issue with the booking, could have been a problem if anyone had booked after us but to be fair they sorted it straight away. I can recommend this cottage and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook.
7 ALFRED SQUARE We absolutely loved 7 Alfred Square – the refurbishment has been done to a very high standard, with every comfort catered for. Luxury bathrooms and kitchen with ample hot water, three superking beds and beautiful furnishings. The courtyard was a great sun trap in the morning and it was also nice to sit outside of the front of the house to catch the afternoon sun. The location of the house is perfect, situated in the Conservation Area, just one minutes’ walk from the beach and five minutes’ walk from the town centre. Fantastic market around the corner on a Saturday morning and lots of restaurants and pubs in easy walking distance. I will most definitely be visiting the house again, for longer than three nights next time!
