The village of Great Mongeham with its 14th Century church and farms, including Solleys that makes delicious fresh Kentish ice cream, has an interesting mix of period Dutch style houses as well as older character properties that include the old Brewery that are now homes. Great Mongeham even has its very own farm shop The Calf Shed which is reached by car or foot across the open fields. Here you can find Solleys Ice Cream Parlour where you can build a delicious sundae. Great food is served at the Hare and Hounds pub in Northbourne and at the Sportsman in Sholden - both can be reached on lovely walks .
