Garden Cottage is a delightful three bedroom period home set within Deal's pretty Conservation Area and is less than fifty metres from the seafront. Whilst being close to the beach, this comfortable holiday home is also perfectly located for walking to Deal's award winning High Street with its independent shops, coffee bars and eateries. The property is full of many original features including exposed beams, brick fireplaces and wooden floorboards. The cottage also benefits from a private courtyard garden from which the sound of the waves on the beach can be heard. There is a taste of nautical-ness throughout with stylish ticking stripe curtains, sailing bed linen and anchor cushions. The accommodation will sleep up to six and is perfect for couples, families and groups.

From quaint Dolphin Street, step into the large panelled dining room with original floorboards, box sash window and fireplace with log effect gas stove. There is a good size dining table to seat five and a very pretty window seat to watch the world go by. The spacious living room leads off the dining room where there is the most wonderful exposed brick fireplace with a large wood burner, exposed wooden beam and large window out to the courtyard - the original floorboards continue through to this room too. There is cosy seating centred around the fireplace with a two-seater sofa and two armchairs. This is the most perfect room to relax in with a selection of lighting options to create the ambience of your choice. A cute corner nook is furnished with a table and chair. The gallery-style white kitchen is well-equipped with a gas hob and oven, large fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and kettle. With its white wooden panelling and two sky lights this is a lovely light space to prepare breakfast which can then be taken to the courtyard garden to be enjoyed at the bistro table set. The garden is completely private with trees and shrubs adorning the courtyard walls. The family bathroom is at the back of the cottage with a shower over the bath, basin and wc.

Wide stairs with a bannister rope lead to the first floor where there are two really good sized double bedrooms - one at the front and one at the back of the house. The front bedroom, overlooking Dolphin Street, has fantastically high ceilings. Furnishings include a distressed pale blue paint work dresser, wardrobe, two bedside tables and lamp, ticking striped curtains, a built in cupboard for storage and a wicker chair in an exposed brick fireplace. The back double bedroom is lovely and white with a character exposed beam and overlooks the courtyard. There is plenty of storage space with two built in cupboards and there is even a cupboard style toilet with sink. A second flight of stairs leads to the second floor where there is a sweet loft room with twin beds.

Deal recently featured in the Times 30 best places by the sea and also won the accolade of the Telegraph High Street of the Year. Deal is a great base for exploring the East Kent coastline including the blue flag sandy beaches of Broadstairs and Margate. Inland, there is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Canterbury and the medieval cinque port town of Sandwich. With castles, museums, wildlife parks and gardens galore there is something for everyone. Some great eateries have opened recently including hip French bistro The Frog and Scot as well as Poppy's kitchen with its seasonal, organic freshly cooked food for breakfast and lunch.
