The cottage also benefits from an open fire and a courtyard garden at the rear, making it a perfect retreat for a cosy or romantic break.
Step straight into the sitting room which has ample seating, a working open fireplace, TV with built in DVD player and a DAB radio for guest's use. Through to the dining area which looks out onto the courtyard garden and is furnished with a farmhouse table and chairs and dresser unit. This leads into the kitchen area which is very well equipped with an electric hob and oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge with a small freezer compartment and a Nespresso machine. At the end of the kitchen is the bathroom with shower attachment over the bath, toilet and basin.
On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, both with traditional features such as nest fireplaces and stripped pine cupboards.
The outside courtyard has a decked surface, table and chairs are provided for eating al fresco.
Please note this property has quite steep stairs and is not really suitable for young children, or those with limited mobility.
There is something for everyone in Deal, fantastic independent shops, a Farmers market on a Thursday and a very popular main market every Saturday, delicatessens, pubs, restaurants and cafes. Deal has a long pier and the beach is perfect for soaking up the coastal scenery. Deal is a genuine Georgian town with winding streets and a lovely promenade. For sandy beaches Sandwich Bay and Broadstairs are a short drive away. There are two wonderful zoos, Howletts and Port Lympne plus a number of other excellent days out at Deal, Walmer and Dover Castles as well as The Canterbury Tales and Canterbury Cathedral. For garden enthusiasts there are lovely gardens at Walmer Castle and The Salutation in Sandwich is outstanding.
It is golfers paradise in this area with Championship course of Royal St Georges at Sandwich, Royal Cinque Ports at Deal and Princes at Sandwich Bay. Other sporting activities include water sports and fishing. For bird lovers, there is a wonderful Bird Sanctuary in Sandwich Bay. If you feel like a day trip to France, then taking a ferry from Dover or the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone couldn't be easier.
