There’s plenty going on on the East Kent coast to keep families of all ages amused this Easter holiday and we have a wonderful collection of family properties for you to stay in. Easter comes early this year falling between the 25 and 28 of March so don’t be caught out – now is the time to book. Here’s a taste of what’s on:
Children’s Festival Easter Weekend 25th – 28 March
Escape on a family adventure back in time to a place where Roman gladiators mix with medieval knights and princesses roam. Activities include meeting a Victorian toymaker as well as making your own toy to take home; tackling a WWII assault course; knights training and a fire eating show on stilts. Strictly no bunnies or chocolate trails.
Roll up Roll up. Dreamland opens for Easter with with old-fashioned thrills and amusements including helter-skelter, scenic railway, Wedgwood tea cups ride and a whole host of retro rides and attractions. There is also a not so average children’s play zone with circus tent and beach huts for under 8’s. Rollerskate the night away in the Roller Room and grab a bite to eat at the Roller Diner.
Mum will love the delightful Mrs Knotts vintage tea room in a former lighthouse keeper’s cottage with mix and match bone china tea cups, tempting cakes and fresh bakes. Dad will love a guided tour of this Victorian lighthouse that was in service for 142 years and the kids wiill love the Easter egg hunt that involves unravelling clues on an archaeology trail around this cliff top site. There are kites to fly for free too and large wooden games too.

Stable Cottage with its large lawned garden is perfect for kids to let off steam. This accommodation is tucked within the private estate at Sandwich Bay and backs onto the Championship Golf Course of Royal St. Georges. Central House is a fabulous house right on the seafront, it sleeps up to 10. The views are quite outstanding!
