Book your October half term break now in Kent!

As we approach the end of the summer of 2020, we pause for a minute to reflect on what has been one of the most unprecedented periods of our lives!

In March, we were all locked down by the global Coronavirus pandemic (and pockets of the UK still remain locked down).

And then once this lifted, we saw the kind of demand for UK staycations that we could only hitherto dream of.

As holiday makers were told they could not fly overseas for the summer, such was the demand for holiday cottages in the UK that Keepers Cottages was effectively sold out!

It has been wonderful to see the return of so many families to the Kent coast, eager to enjoy the delights of our vast, uncrowded coastline; our many Blue Flag beaches and of course, the odd ice cream or two!

Missed out on a summer break? Book ahead for October half term

But we are also mindful that, with demand outstripping supply, not everyone has had the chance to get away this summer for a break with family and friends.

So if you are still keen to get away but have missed the August rush, now is the time to book ahead for the October half term, to make sure you get the pick of the bunch!

Why demand will be high for October half term

Assuming all schools reopen, as planned, in late August and early September, it is a sure fire certainty that the first term will be more focused than ever, as pupils and teachers across the UK play catch up on the many months of school that were missed towards the end of the last academic year.

Which means that the October half term break is going to look like an oasis in a desert of hard work – for both teachers and kids alike!

We therefore expect demand to be high for this half term break, as the weather is often more than enjoyable in October in Kent, meaning you can spend the day walking the beaches before returning to cuddle up in front of your log burner in the evening.
