Arriving to find your chosen holiday cottage absolutely sparkling clean has always been a top priority for Deal based holiday letting agency, Keepers Cottages.

As the number one holiday rental firm in Deal, Keepers Cottages has a hard earned reputation for making sure that guests’ expectations are consistently exceeded.

So following the global pandemic of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), what changes to the cleaning regimes can guests expect on their next visit to the Kent coastline in 2020?

A highly professional team of holiday cottage cleaners

Keepers Cottages knows more than a thing or two about cleaning. You could say it’s a little bit of an obsession. But over these last few months, we have come to realise that’s no bad thing!

We manage nearly 80 holiday lets on the south coast of Kent, across Walmer, Deal and Kingsdown as well as several holiday lets further inland.

And we know that the highest standards of cleanliness are important to every single one of our guests.

Fortunately, we have our very own highly skilled and expert team of cleaners in Deal and we take great pride in knowing that each turnaround of a holiday cottage means that the next guest will never know that a previous guest has even stayed.

Hygiene and cleanliness is something we have particularly focused on as a letting agency, ever since our establishment in 2014. And in these uncertain times following the Covid-19 pandemic, it is an issue close to the hearts of our guest going forward.

So exactly what can you expect from Keepers Cottages when you book one of our holiday cottages in Kent?

Total peace of mind for all holiday cottage guests

We want every guest to have complete confidence and peace of mind when they make a booking with Keepers Cottages that their holiday rental will be in first class condition when they arrive.

Thorough cleaning as standard

It has always been a policy at Keepers Cottages to ensure that everything is clean in time for the next guest. But Covid-19 means that we remain extra vigilant.

That’s not just making sure everywhere is hoovered and mopped. Or that the bathrooms are bleached sparkling clean.

It’s also about ensuring that all the glassware, crockery and cutlery is thoroughly washed. That the bedlinen and towels are always freshly laundered. And that each guest is supplied with brand new cleaning cloths.

Extended cleaning times

We have also extended the time allocated to each one of our properties when it comes to cleaning them.

This allows for an even more thorough clean of all surfaces, including TV remote controls, door knobs, handles and banisters. All the areas you might not immediately think of – they’ll already have been done.

Hand sanitiser in each welcome pack

Every booking will receive hand sanitiser as part of their Keepers Cottages welcome pack. Take it with you and use it freely when you’re out and about – it’s yours to keep.

Virakill to be used on every surface

Keepers Cottages is delighted to be the first holiday cottage agent in Kent to use Virakill in the management of all its properties.

A unique, multi-purpose surface sanitising spray, Virakill has been specifically designed for disinfecting any surface; desktops, door handles, vehicle surfaces, gym equipment – everywhere!

Virakill is a unique sanitising spray that kills harmful viruses and bacteria within 30 seconds of application and continues to work up to 8 days after.

Not only does it kill 99.99% of all bacteria, it’s been proven to kill all Coronaviruses, including Covid-19.

Suitable for cleaning and sanitising all hard surfaces, it can be used on glazed ceramics, porcelain, chrome, plastic surfaces, walls, tiles, fixtures, toilet and surrounding areas, sinks, urinals, shower cubicles and even carpets, soft furnishings and upholstery.

So if there’s a surface in one of our cottages that needs cleaning, then you can be reassured that Virakill will be used on it!

And better still, not only is it biodegradable, it’s also completely safe to use on the skin, as it contains no harsh chemicals.

Removal of unnecessary ornaments

In order to further minimise risk, we have asked each one of our owners to remove any unnecessary ornaments in their properties.

Key safes for every arrival

Rather than a personal ‘meet and greet’ on arrival, we have ensured that every guest can access their holiday rental via a key safe – which will have been wiped down ready for your arrival as we leave the property.

Staff to be issued with PPE

In the unlikely event of a problem with your cottage during your stay, we will send round a member of our team, at your convenience, in the appropriate PPE, ensuring that both you and they are protected at all times.

Every holiday cottage checked before the arrival of each guest

Not only is it our policy to provide the highest standards of cleanliness when it comes to our holiday lets – we also make sure we personally check out each one before the arrival of every guest.

That way we can be reassured that it’s in tip top condition.

The safest holiday cottages in Kent after Covid-19?

It is never possible to say, with 100% certainty, that a venue is free of Covid. Not least because this is a virus you cannot see.

But we do hope that our thorough cleaning regime will reassure all guests that we take this virus seriously.

And that we have thought of every way in which we can ensure our properties are presented in the safest possible way to our guests.
