February half term in Deal is shaping up to be jam packed with fun. Whether you want to take in a show or get out and active there’s lots going on to suit everyone. Take a look at our half term availability to book your stay with us.

Dark Skies

The perfect event for any budding astronomists, take in the night sky in the stunning environment of Deal Castle’s grounds and gardens. There will be talks and demonstrations taking place and the opportunity to try out telescopes.

When? Weekends from 3 February – 25 February 5pm – 8pm

Half Term at Howletts

Take a trip to the zoo, where you can see the largest herd of African elephants in the UK. Spot new arrivals including clouded leopard cubs and baby antelope, as well as your old favorites. There’s lots to keep everyone entertained, with animal talks, crafts, activities and competitions taking place.

When? 9.30-5 , 10-18th February

Peppa Pig’s Adventure

Peppa Pig and her friends are back in a new live adventure. Join Peppa as she gets ready to go on an exciting camping trip to the woods with George and her school friends, including Pedro Pony, Suzy Sheep and Gerald Giraffe.

When? Tuesday 13 & Wednesday 14 February 2018, 10am, 1pm, 4pm

Where? Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury

Betteshanger Park

Take in the fresh air and get the kids active. Betteshanger has a 3km cycle path around the park for them to explore. Or for the more adventurous, hurtle around the 10km of rugged dirt trails. Bikes and helmets are available to rent, or bring your own. There’s also a play area and lots of wooded ground for the whole family to explore together.

When? The park closes at 5.30 from Feb 12th

GEEK Festival

A three day festival of gaming. Geek promises to be a real highlight for gamers of all skill levels. Take part in tournaments, try out retro consoles and modern day tech. There’ll be workshops and talks on  coding and science, even Jedi fight academy teaching lightsaber skills to young Jedi.
