This wonderful stretch of the Kent Coast has lots of fun things to do while you are on your family summer holidays in Deal. Here at Keepers Cottages we have been busy finding out what is on for you to enjoy.

Why not browse through our selection of lovely self catering holiday cottages  and many of them are very dog friendly too

Deal has a beautiful promenade that stretches from Kingsdown to Sandown Castle; past Walmer Castle and Gardens on your travels along the promenade you will pass the The Royal Marines Band Stand on The Walmer, Green

If you have young children with you they will love Walmer Paddling pool which is free to enjoy and on route you’ll find Deal Castle

You will also find lots of pubs and restaurants as you approach the centre of Deal, from the Port Arms and Kings Head, Dunkerley’s , 81 Beach Street and The Royal Hotel.

There are plenty of cafes to choose from too.  From Deal Beach Parlour retro style serving ice creams and snacks for all the family and Deal Pier boasts its own café at the end above the fishing deck. .

Along side this stretch of promenade is a cycle path for all generations as there are no inclines to contend with, if you don’t want to bring your bikes with you then contact Mike at Mikes Bikes for all you bicycle hire needs .

If you wish to cycle further afield the South East coast has some excellent trails. There is the wonderful bike park called Fowlmead which is about a 5 minute drive from Deal.

When you get to Sandown Castle you can sit and relax as it has been transformed into a community garden, with stunning views across the channel.
