This child friendly property has an enclosed garden at the back, as well as being just a 5 minute walk away from the seafront and the high street.Tavistock is a beautiful, period townhouse with bags of character, conveniently located within minutes of the many independent shops, pubs and Deal seafront. Sleeping four people, it's perfect for a couple, a small group of friends, or a family wishing to escape the routine of everyday life. The house has recently been lovingly renovated to provide an extremely comfortable living space. The owners have sourced an interesting collection of artwork, lighting, mirrors and soft furnishings, which give the house a truly unique, yet cosy appeal. Spacious and calming with it's relaxing, colour palette of blues and greys, the windows have been dressed with a mix of white shutters and light curtains, which give an overall feel of light and space.
The property also benefits from a really lovely, secluded garden which has variety of planting, trees and pretty inlaid paths. There is a BBQ which guests are welcome to use and a thoughtful choice of seating and dining areas, perfect for summer dining.
Entry through the front door via two steps into an elegant hallway. To the right is the first of two reception rooms, this large, bright room is tastefully furnished with leather sofas, wooden floors, bookcases and attractive lighting. There is a fire but not for use at the moment.
Living / Dining Room
The hallway leads through to the second open-plan living / dining area. This cleverly thought out space is the perfect place to relax, with comfortable sofas, mood lighting and the addition of a log burner ideal for chilly evenings.
The through dining area with a large skylight roof to add extra light, has enough seating for six people. French doors lead straight to the pretty garden.
A large, recently renovated kitchen has a combination of built-in units and freestanding furniture. The owners have gone the extra mile to create a charming, inviting space. The relaxing palette of cool grey and blues with carefully sourced artwork and ceramics give the whole place a unique, yet homely feel. The fully equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and enough cooking equipment to allow the chef in the group to prepare meals whilst the rest of the party relax in the social open plan dining / living room.
There is a downstairs bathroom located just through the kitchen which has a bath with shower over, handbasin and WC. There is also a washing machine.
Wooden stairs lead you to the first floor, to the left is a single bedroom with a day bed, period fireplace (not in use) and a view to the garden.
The second bathroom is reached via this room. The beautiful newly installed bathroom, has fresh green tiles, chrome fittings, walk in shower.
To the left of the landing is the twin bedroom with views to the rear garden. The owners have furnished the room with some storage, a pair of twin wooden vintage beds, although new comfortable mattresses have been added. The eclectic mix of old and new continues with vintage lamps, artworks and retro printed bedding.
The master bedroom is to the front of the house and has a brass bed, period fireplace (not in use), carefully thought out lighting and some storage.
Secluded, walled garden to rear with a choice of areas to sit and enjoy an al fresco meal or sip a chilled drink on a summers evening. There is a BBQ which guests are welcome to use.

*Please note - Free parking is available if you head north along the seafront to the marina, where you will find a number of streets where you can park for no charge.
