Skippers

Deal, Kent

This character cottage on historic Middle Street, Deal is a truly wonderful property. You cannot fail to be impressed by the styling, design and degree of comfort in this holiday home. Laid out over three floors, Skippers has three bedrooms and sleeps six people comfortably. Situated in the middle of Deal, and just one street behind the High Street and the seafront, this is the perfect place to stay and explore this seaside town steeped in maritime history. Stepping in through the front door is like stepping back in time to Deal's dark smuggling days as a point of interest some Deal smugglers served as pilots for Nelson and it was from Deal that guinea boats were constructed to ship gold across the channel to pay napoleons armies. This history can be felt in the walls of this exceptional property. From the ancient, solid front door to the huge, impressive inglenook fireplaces adorning the wall of both the downstairs and the master bedroom to the vintage furniture that works so well with the contemporary wood panelling and modern framed artwork. There is even a lovely sunny courtyard with potted bay tree and herbs to enjoy the fresh sea air.

Reviews

"Beautiful cottage with everything you need. Felt very cosy even in January and the log burner was a real treat. Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, we couldn't have asked for more. Booking process very straightforward with quick and very helpful responses, and key collection swift and easy, meaning we could settle in and start our break straightaway. We loved our short stay in Deal and this was the ideal central base for exploring the town and the area."

"Super close to the beach on the newer side of Deal town. Traditional style cottage with loads of original features. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. The town has loads of lovely traditional pubs, a few great restaurants (as well as loads of fab fish and chip shops of course) and some lovely vintage shops. The beach walks are lovely especially the walk up to Kingsdown. I'd definitely stay there again, it made a lovely base for our two week break."

"Beautiful quaint cottage in the heart of Deal

Close to the amenities if you want to self cater or a short walk (10 paces!) to one of the most popular pubs in Deal on the seafront... you couldn't ask for better. The cottage has everything you need for a pleasant stay with your dogs Brilliant!"
