Reviews
"My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing stay in Deal, especially enjoying how close the house was to the beach! Lovely wood burner in the living room and plenty of space throughout the house."
"A lovely cottage and perfect spot to explore Deal. Well equipped and very clean - the cottage has a large, social kitchen and lots of period features. Deal has some great pubs, super walks and the cafe on the pier is a particularly nice place to visit."
"Review of Stay 22nd - 29th December 2019 - Nicola King
We stayed at 8 Middle Street - Christmas 2019 for a week and had a fabulous time, the cottage is very well equipped in every way, we had 10 for lunch Christmas Day and then 7 nearly every day after !!!
The bedrooms are a good size, and so nice to have a large shower and a bath tub to relax in too.
The location is perfect, being so near the High Street, pubs and great restaurants.
Would definitely recommend for a winter or summer stay."
"Can I start by saying that Deal is the most delightful town. The high street is vibrant and even in November it is buzzing. The house is... well great. Everything there and has a nice log burner - which is the nicest. Beds so comfortable. Only downside is the kitchen - the central island needs to get rid of the hob - but there is a dining room. But it is a holiday place - the kitchen is well equipped. Deffo recommend."
"8 Middle Street is a cosy and comfortable cottage in a superb location. Three generations stayed here with all needs catered for: beach, shops and restaurants only minutes away and excellent WiFi and TV for the teen.
Beds were very comfortable, the bathroom is luxurious and the cottage was spotless.
Camilla and the staff at Keepers Cottages were helpful at all times with great personal attention and interest.
I would recommend this cottage and the Company."

Maritime Cottage at 8 Middle Street is a character holiday home in central Deal just a stone’s throw from the beach, sleeping 6 people in 3 bedrooms (2 double and one twin). This property has a lovely, enclosed courtyard garden and welcomes pets. Maritime Cottage dates to about 1690 and combines the best of history with modern comfort. Situated within the heart of the conservation area in the charming seaside town of Deal, Maritime Cottage is a desirable holiday home for those looking to escape to the seaside. The house is steeped in history and has even been awarded a Deal Society blue plaque for being the home of Catharine Boys, the 19th century philanthropist, who set up an orphanage. A large kitchen to the back has a stable door out to the pretty courtyard, which makes a lovely outside dining space during the summer months. There is a wonderful sitting room with exposed brickwork chimney breast surrounding the log burner, and also a good sized dining room off the kitchen with an extendable table seating up to eight, providing ample space for family groups. It sleeps six people comfortably. The stairs to the upper floors and exposed beams (retrieved from ships) evoke the maritime past of Deal. All three bedrooms are a good size, two doubles on the first floor and a twin snuggles under the eaves at the top of the house.
