Local Information
Folkestone is a thriving coastal town, with a long maritime history. The harbour arm has been transformed into a tourist hotspot with cafes, a champagne bar and other great food outlets. There’s even a beach to relax on. The harbour itself is home to seafood stalls and an excellent seafood restaurant with sea views. The Creative Quarter is a short walk from the harbour and offers many art galleries, boutique shops and craft stores. And of course, there is a long golden sandy beach to enjoy.
