"It is a wonderful typically English and very beautiful and lovingly decorated house. The hosts are super nice! There was even a welcome cake and it was decorated for Christmas. We are (family with two children) super happy including our little dog! We definitely want to come back.
Thank you for the friendly decoration and the great facilities. We felt very comfortable. The tea and the loving furnishings are a big plus!"
"Just wanted to say that we had a very happy experience renting Rum Bosun and the Easter cake was delicious.
The vibrant town of Deal is approximately two miles away. For those wishing to cycle or walk, there is beautiful cycle and walking path that runs along the entire beach-front and takes you to Walmer Castle, quiet beaches and into the heart of Deal.
Enter into a bright glazed porch and through to the reception room with comfortable seating, two large sofas and an elegant occasional chair, cosy throws and a working log burner. There is also a small TV for cosy winter nights.
The pretty dining room has enough seating for six to eight people with a solid wood table and chairs and extra built-in seating, cleverly designed to maximise the space. There is a view of the garden and period fireplace for display purposes only. The owners have kindly left the built-in cupboard fully stocked with a large and varied selection of lovingly collected china and glassware for guests use.
The light coastal décor continues through to the galley-style kitchen. There is a dishwasher, oven and microwave.
The recently renovated bathroom is to the rear of the ground floor and has a hand-basin, WC, built in bath with glazed screen and chrome shower over.
Direct access to the garden is via the kitchen where you will find a surprisingly good size enclosed garden, with terrace, table and chairs and a lawn with some planting.
A softly carpeted flight of stairs, with a nautical rope banister, leads you to the first floor.
To the right is the front facing twin bedroom, with a third trundle bed and some storage. This room has a pleasant view of North Road.
On the left is the double bedroom with large double bed, some storage and a rear view of the garden.
