"Quaint cottage in a fantastic position. Having an open fire was a highlight of our trip. Very cosy for the start of winter."
"Awesome cottage on a really nice and mellow street right next to the beach."
"Before I review the cottage, may I say what a wonderful service Keepers Cottages gave. We were in a dilemma trying to find somewhere at short notice and they pulled out all the stops to 'accommodate' us. So grateful! The cottage is very quaint, nicely furnished, good shower, comfy beds, clean and the location is great for the beach. Parking is along the sea front. The stairs in the cottage are quite steep, so probably not a place to take a young child. We felt very at home there and would stay again."
"Lovely old character cottage in the ‘old town’ part of Deal; just a stones throw to the beach and a very short walk to shops and restaurants. Comfortably furnished and enough room for a family of four & dog. Nice touch having a little ‘hamper’ for our arrival. Good WiFi and free view tv. Kitchen adequately equipped. No garden but you are so close to the beach it doesn’t matter. There is no parking at the cottage and the parking on the seafront nearest the cottage is pay and display (all though free from 1700-0900; although don’t forget you parked there like I did as the traffic wardens are around early!). If you drive a little further along the beach road (away from the pier), you can find free parking in bays or on the beach road itself- just a pleasant short stroll away from the cottage. Deal itself is a wonderful historic town, has a nice choice of restaurants, shops and numerous characterful pubs. Most of it is easily accessible of foot, allowing you to enjoy this corner of Kent’s enviable microclimate. We ate out in a number of places; I would strongly recommend Bangkok pavilion, wellingtons (for fried breky); south street for chips; saracens head for a quiet drink or kings head for a popular (may be hard to find a table) pub with food. Royal hotel nice too.The Zetland arms in Kingsdown also good for drinks and food (good ales). You should try Rooks butchers too, huge range of deli and meats as well as fresh sandwiches and pies etc...my kids love the burger puffs - has been open for years and still very popular. Overall good value for money, location couldn’t be better and a great town and area to visit."
"Smugglers cottage is right in the middle of an extremely picturesque conservation area. The cottage is super charming, close to the beach, a short walk from the train and lots of great restaurants and historical sights. We stayed for a week with our family of four and it ticked all the boxes."

There is something for everyone in Deal, fantastic and often quirky independent shops, markets, delicatessens, pubs, restaurants and cafes, together with a wonderful weekly bric-a-brac and food market. The actual town centre is pedestrianised which makes it an ideal place to wander and explore.
