We stayed at this house several times a few years ago but stopped because the house developed problems with damp. We were really pleased to see that it was back on Keepers Cottages' books again after extensive refurbishment. We stayed here for 12 nights with two of our children and their families sharing one after the other, so there were 4 adults and three children then four and two. The house is large with a sensational first floor lounge that looks straight over the Channel which is just across the road. The bedrooms and beds are good sized and comfortable and the kitchen well appointed. The agents could not be more obliging or helpful We have already booked to stay again next year, John F, September 2020
The property was clean and modern with plenty of room for children to play. The 3 main bedrooms were spacious, but the best room was the living room where there was plenty of seating area and room for all the guests to sit and mingle, or play games. The location was perfect just in front of the the stone beach, and with easy access to the main roads for when travelling to other local towns during the day. Although there wasn't any dedicated parking, we never had any problems finding somewhere to park 2 cars in the parking bays opposite the house. I would thoroughly recommend the lovely property for anyone looking to use as a base location whilst exploring the local area, or just relaxing for the week. C Hung, August 2016
Thank you for a wonderful stay at the beach house this weekend! What an enchanting place. The weather was a blessing and waking up to such an incredibly serene setting was very special. We had escaped there after sad family circumstances, and I felt if was the tonic we all needed. Hope to visit again next year! Many thanks for the cake and biscuits. B Taylor, October 2015
This is an absolutely fabulous property. We were six adults and were thrilled from the moment we arrived. Pristine and clean, furnished to a very high standard and right on the beach. All bedrooms face the sea which you can hear at night with the sash windows open. The location to Deal town (which we have visited many times over the years) is perfect. There are plenty of cups, plates etc and all the cooking utensils you need with a fab. hob set up if cookings your thing. Linen and towels are provided and all top quality. We will be returning to this property in the future for the following reasons, space, quality and location. Many thanks to the owner for leaving a gorgeous tart and local apple juice for us upon our arrival, just perfect. You will not be disappointed renting this property! Sheba, July 2015
This is a lovely house in a great location, just across the road from the beach but also near the High Street. We were lucky enough to have very good weather for our visit to Deal. The house was clean. We all thought the beds were comfortable (white cotton bed linen) and the whole place is tastefully decorated in neutral colours with a few nautical touches. The décor seems to have been recently renewed, and all the sanitary fittings appear quite new. The overall impression is light and airy. The ground floor has a sitting room (which we used as a corridor and dumping ground since three doors lead off it), a nice kitchen/dining room and a cloakroom. The first floor has a large double-aspect sitting room with beautiful views of the sea, a good double bedroom and a family bathroom (bath with a proper shower over). There is also the single bedroom which is TINY and leads directly off the sitting room. This room contains just a bed, bedside chest and small lamp. There isn't room for anything else. The second floor has the master bedroom with a good shower room and a dressing area with large mirror-door wardrobe. The ceilings are slightly low in this room - if you were over about 6' 5" you might have a problem! Also on the second floor is a nice large twin room. This is suitable for children as the entrance is an archway about 5 feet high. All the rooms face front, towards the sea, which gives lovely views but we found the sun was too bright in the mid-summer mornings. The blinds are all very thin and the first floor sitting room has no curtains at all. This house is only suitable for people who can manage stairs easily. The first floor sitting room is lovely, but means that you are constantly going up and down stairs to the kitchen, or when you want to go outside. Also, this is a very old property and the stairs are quite steep with fairly narrow treads. The kitchen is moderately well equipped – microwave, dishwasher, large cooker, fridge freezer. There is NO washing machine and nowhere to dry clothes either. The cupboards are stocked with pots and pans, crockery, glassware and cutlery, but quite a basic selection – suitable for a simple family supper, not a gourmet dinner! I would have scored this property as five stars if it had a washing machine and perhaps a few changes to make it more convenient for guests (such as sorting out the thin window blinds). The agency that look after this house were very efficient and helpful and my deposit was returned very promptly. For people who don’t know Deal, this road along the sea-front (Beach Street) is the only place to rent a house that has unrestricted sea views. Rental properties in other streets would probably just have views of other houses. You should be aware that Beach Street is quite a noisy road, so houses along the front will not be very quiet. We loved waking up to see the sea, and thought that it was worth putting up with a bit of noise, but if you want somewhere extremely quiet choose another holiday location! David Bennett, July 2015
We stayed here for my sons 30th birthday with a mixed group. The house is immaculate, modern and has everything you could possibly wish for. You can sit in the living room looking out to sea or just walk out of the front door and be on the beach. Shops and high Street? Behind the house. Pub with food and sea view? Opposite the house. You could stay and not need to use a car at all. The children's room could sleep 4 children as there are two pull out beds as well as two single beds. I slept in one of the beds (granddaughter wanted nanny to share with her) so the beds are adult sized therefore not limited to kiddies. Kitchen has everything you could need and is so modern. It states in the house details on holiday lettings that there is no microwave which was a minus but in fact there is a lovely one so don't be put off if you read that. If you have the money then look no further for your break. We stayed for 3 nights and I really wished we could of afforded a week. Unfortunately we are not in a position to be able to afford to go back just yet but I will definitely be aiming too. I lost my son to cancer recently so I don't often feel totally relaxed and smile much nowadays..... during this break though I did..... priceless! Michelle, May 2015
It is without doubt one of the nicest houses we have stayed in. It is stylish, clean and comfortable with a fantastic location. The beds are very solid and comfortable and it all felt luxurious. We enjoyed many walks and a few drinks in the Royal Hotel which we liked very much. The rooms are bright, spacious and beautifully furnished and the facilities are, on the whole, well thought out. There are many cups, plates etc and the welcome pack was much appreciated. I would definitely use your company again and have no hesitation in recommending you or the Beach House. Having used Keepers Cottages for the first time in November 2014 we would like to thank Camilla and the staff for the friendly and first class service we received. We stayed at The Beach House in Deal, Kent which is a very large, completely renovated 4 bedroom house right on the sea front with stunning views of the Beach and all the facilities of the town on your doorstep. The house was beautifully furnished to a very high standard and a great place to just relax which is what we wanted. The staff were flexible with the arrival/departure times and the booking procedure was simple. We would love to stay at The Beach House again and would definitely use Keepers Cottages in the future.
