The bedroom is on the first floor. Please note that the stairs are steep, and although there is a handrail, this cottage is not suitable for those with mobility issues or small children.
There is no private parking at this property. However, there is free on street parking is available a short walk from the cottage. Two hour paid parking bays outside the cottage for unloading.
Despite there being no private parking space, the parking is relatively easy at this property. There is parking right outside the house, which you can use for 2 hours. There are also neighbouring roads which offer the same time restricted parking options. If you would like to explore free parking options you can do so along the seafront (past the rowing club) and on residential roads from Alfred Square onwards. Depending on where you find a space, it shouldn't take you longer than 5 - 10 minutes to walk back to the property.
Yes, there is a really sweet courtyard garden to the back of the property. There's a little table and chairs which catch the sun in the evenings making it the perfect for a drink in the summers sun at the end of a long day at the beach.
This property is not pet friendly. It's ideal for couples, or singles who want to explore Deal and visit the Kent Coast.
Cow & Cockle enjoys a great spot on West Street, just a short stroll from Deal’s High Street, seafront and the much-loved Saturday market at Union Road. The Deal Hoy is also nearby for a relaxed drink, and there is convenient parking close by, making it easy to arrive and explore this lovely part of town. West Street is one of Deal’s most characterful pockets, lined with handsome period buildings and just moments from the independent shops, cafés and restaurants of the town centre. On Saturdays, the nearby market at Union Road brings an extra sense of life to the area, with locals and visitors browsing for fresh produce, flowers and antiques. The seafront is only a short walk away, ideal for morning coffee strolls or an evening by the beach, and The Deal Hoy is close by if you fancy a traditional pub atmosphere. There is also convenient parking nearby, making Cow & Cockle a well-placed base for enjoying Deal on foot.
