Steadfast
Perfectly positioned in the heart of Deal, Steadfast is a stylish and beautifully designed double storey apartment. Inside, the apartment feels wonderfully spacious, with tall ceilings, large windows and original wooden floors that give the rooms character. The interiors are a match for a boutique hotel, carefully styled to create a home that is both sophisticated and cosy. The generous sitting room is a particularly lovely space, with its large bay window overlooking the lively High Street and neighbouring church, making it the perfect space to watch the rhythm of the town below. The kitchen is just as impressive, a wonderfully bright and sociable room centred around a large dining table, with a wood burner adding warmth in the cooler months. It's a space made for long breakfasts or relaxed suppers with friends. Upstairs, two spacious bedrooms await with comfortable king size beds and crisp linen for a restful night's sleep. With the long pebble beach, independent shops, restaurants and cafés all just moments away, Steadfast is perfectly placed for enjoying everything that makes Deal such a special seaside town.

Access is via some steps and through the pretty roof terrace to the Front Door.
Hallway
There is a good size hallway with a spacious cupboard for hanging coats / storing shoes and also has the washing machine/dryer.
Kitchen
A large light filled kitchen with everything you could possibly need. There is a large table by the window. There is a wood burner at one end.
Sitting Room
A lovely cosy room painted in a rich dark blue. Large bay window overlooking the pretty church and the High Street. Comfortable sofa, armchairs and cosy decor. There is a Smart Now TV.
First double room
A light pretty room with a king size bed, bedside tables, cupboard, chest of drawers and large sash windows.
Second double room
Another good sized room with a king size bed, bedside tables and lights, chest of drawers, sash window.
Bathroom
With spacious walk-in shower, WC and basin.
There is a great roof terrace providing a wonderful place to eat and drink.
Steadfast is not suitable for those with limited mobility, as there are steps leading up to the front door and within the apartment. The stairs within the apartment are carpeted and have a bannister, they are not particularly steep.
There are a number of car parks nearby - Middle Street Car Park (3-4 minute walk), Stanhope Road Car Park (4-5 minute walk) or you can pre book and pay for parking at Sainsbury's via Just Park. People often prefer this as it guarantees them a space.
Steadfast is very centrally located, so you can walk everywhere from the apartment easily. The train station is walking distance (10 minutes).

- Bath towels and bed linen are provided.

- Dog fee of £25 per stay. One dog is very welcome.
- Please note that there is no coffee machine at the property, but there is a cafetiere.
- A starter pack of sundry items such as toilet rolls, dishcloths, hand soaps and fairy liquids are provided to get your started, but you may wish to bring more for your self catering holiday if you are staying for a week or more.
We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages to this beautiful home. We understand that accidents happen and would just ask that you let us know so we can sort before the next guests arrive.
- Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
- Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
- Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
- For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
- Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
- Parties and loud music are not permitted.

Yes - you are very welcome to bring one dog with you for an additional charge of £25 per stay.
There are lots of local parking options. When you arrive, you can double park for a short time to unload. As the apartment is so central, you will be able to walk everywhere. If you prefer to find free parking, you can head to the seafront and turn left, head down towards the rowing club and it becomes free on road parking (about a 5-7 minute walk). From Alfred Square towards North end of Deal, this is also all free on road parking. Alternatively, you can pre book parking via Just Park at Sainsbury's (10 minute walk) - some people prefer this option as it guarantees them a space.
Yes, the WiFi is reliable, fast and suitable for home working. Download speeds of 60mbps and upload of 18mbps.
Yes, the apartment is lovely and quiet for such a central location. You will occasionally hear the bells from the church across the road.

Deal
Steadfast sits directly above an art gallery on Deal High Street. You couldn't really ask for a better base for exploring Deal, as everything is on your doorstep. You are just 100 yards from the beach, with it's long promenade stretching to Sandwich Bay in one direction and Walmer and Kingsdown in the other. Deal itself has a lovely independent high street with a fantastic array of boutique shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. On a Saturday morning, there is a wonderful market which takes place in Union Road car park. We highly recommend strolling down to collect Swedish buns from Bygaboo - you will not be disappointed! Another one of our favourite things to do when staying at Steadfast is to head up to the beach, take a right and walk all the way to Kingsdown, passing Hut 55 on route for a coffee and sweet treat. When you reach Kingsdown, there is a great local pub, The Zetland Arms, which is on the beachfront overlooking the White Cliffs. For those that like to explore a little further, you can keep walking from here and up on to the cliffs to St Margaret's Bay. This really is a wonderful coastal walk with the most breathtaking views. Nearby coastal towns of Folkestone, Broadstairs are Margate also make a great day trip, each with award winning seafood restaurants, art galleries or sandy beaches.Around the area

An Edwardian arts centre on Stanhope Road with a varied programme of music, theatre and film. A good one for an evening in Deal, whatever the weather, and full of local spirit.
Timeball Tower Museum
A Victorian signalling tower on the seafront, where the timeball still drops on the hour. Four floors of maritime history and smuggling tales, plus views from the top.
The Pop Up Cafe
Spread across a few knocked-together shopfronts on the High Street, The Pop Up Cafe serves homemade sourdough, cheese scones and seasonally changing soups – not to mention some of the best coffee in town!
The Pelican Rooms
A hidden gem tucked above The Blue Pelican on Beach Street, The Pelican Rooms offers facials, massage treatments and so much more in the wellness space. A good one to know for a slower morning in Deal.
Bygga Bo
A little taste of Sweden at Deal’s Saturday market. Bygga Bo bakes cinnamon buns and Fika treats that draw a queue before the stalls have properly opened. A Keepers favourite!
Deal Pier
Kent’s last surviving leisure pier, opened by the Duke of Edinburgh in 1957. Walk its length for sea views, cast a line, or stop at Deal Pier Kitchen at the far end. On a clear day you can see France.
Cycle to Kingsdown
Take the flat coastal path from Deal to Kingsdown, ideal for walking or cycling. Pass Walmer Castle & Gardens, explore Kingsdown’s beautiful beaches and seafront, including The Zetland Arms. Hire bikes locally from Hut 55.

Deal has not one but three Tudor castles built by Henry VIII, namely Deal, Walmer and Sandown. The first two you can visit whilst Sandown (of which only a few stones remain) is on the cycle path that follows the coast.
