Tide’s Reach, Deal
Located in the sought-after conservation area of Deal, Tide’s Reach is a charming fisherman’s cottage just moments from the beach and the independent shops and restaurants. With two double bedrooms, a cosy wood burning stove and an enclosed courtyard, this welcoming cottage is perfectly placed for couples, friends or a small family looking to spend time by the sea. Step inside and you’ll find a warm and inviting living room, where the wood burner makes Tide’s Reach particularly lovely for autumn and winter stays. Traditional cottage character is complemented by everything needed for a comfortable break, while the well equipped galley kitchen includes a dishwasher, washer/dryer and a choice of Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine or cafetière. A door from the kitchen leads directly out to the small, but pretty courtyard which is the perfect spot for coffee in the morning. The family bathroom is just beyond the kitchen with a bath and overhead shower. Upstairs are two comfortable double bedrooms. Children of all ages are welcome, and dogs are welcome too, with thoughtful touches including dog bowls provided in the kitchen. A word worth knowing: like many of Deal's cottages, the stairs here are narrow, part of the house's considerable charm, but worth bearing in mind if stairs are a concern. Comfortable, characterful and wonderfully positioned, Tide’s Reach is a lovely little base for discovering Deal at its best, whether you’re escaping to the coast for a summer weekend or cosying up beside the fire after a windswept winter walk.

Both bedrooms are located on the first floor. Please note that the staircase is typical of a conservation area property, and so may not be suitable for those with young children or limited mobility.
Parking can be found on the seafront, at the end of the road from the cottage. This is all paid for on street parking, which can be done using Ringo app. If you wish to find free parking, head towards North end of Deal (Beach Street or any of the roads parralel to this), and this all becomes free on road parking and is only a 5 minute walk away.

- There is a cot and high chair, for little ones. Note that you will need to bring cot linen and mattress with you.
- A starter pack of sundries such as toilet rolls, washing up liquid and hand soaps are provided to get you started, but you may wish to bring more for your self catering holiday - especially if staying for over a week
Please note that the stairs are steep, and classic of a conservation property so please take care, and be advised that the stairs may not be suitable for those with limited mobility or young children.
- We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages. Should any damages arise please note charges may apply, as per your booking terms and conditions.
- Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
- Smoking and vaping are not permitted in the property at any time.
- Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house (4 guests).
- For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
- Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
- Parties and loud music are not permitted at any time.

Deal
The location is one of Tide’s Reach’s greatest draws. Exchange Street sits within Deal’s sought-after conservation area, surrounded by the narrow streets and historic cottages that give this part of town so much character. The seafront is just a short stroll away, while Deal’s independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants are all within easy walking distance. Wander along the promenade towards the pier, pick up something delicious for dinner from the town’s independent shops, or simply spend the day exploring the beach and coastline on foot.Around the area
A show at the Astor Theatre
An Edwardian arts centre on Stanhope Road with a varied programme of music, theatre and film. A good one for an evening in Deal, whatever the weather, and full of local spirit.
Timeball Tower Museum
A Victorian signalling tower on the seafront, where the timeball still drops on the hour. Four floors of maritime history and smuggling tales, plus views from the top.
The Pop Up Cafe
Spread across a few knocked-together shopfronts on the High Street, The Pop Up Cafe serves homemade sourdough, cheese scones and seasonally changing soups – not to mention some of the best coffee in town!
The Pelican Rooms
A hidden gem tucked above The Blue Pelican on Beach Street, The Pelican Rooms offers facials, massage treatments and so much more in the wellness space. A good one to know for a slower morning in Deal.
Bygga Bo
A little taste of Sweden at Deal’s Saturday market. Bygga Bo bakes cinnamon buns and Fika treats that draw a queue before the stalls have properly opened. A Keepers favourite!
Deal Pier
Kent’s last surviving leisure pier, opened by the Duke of Edinburgh in 1957. Walk its length for sea views, cast a line, or stop at Deal Pier Kitchen at the far end. On a clear day you can see France.
Cycle to Kingsdown
Take the flat coastal path from Deal to Kingsdown, ideal for walking or cycling. Pass Walmer Castle & Gardens, explore Kingsdown’s beautiful beaches and seafront, including The Zetland Arms. Hire bikes locally from Hut 55.

Deal Castle
Deal has not one but three Tudor castles built by Henry VIII, namely Deal, Walmer and Sandown. The first two you can visit whilst Sandown (of which only a few stones remain) is on the cycle path that follows the coast.
