"Great location! Beach so close , lovely walk through the quiet lanes to the town . Comfortable home. Gets my vote."

"I wanted a dog-friendly property in Deal for a short weekend stay, not too far from the beach for my nephews, and this was perfect. Very cosy and comfortable; I slept on sofa bed in the lounge and it was large and comfortable enough, that I didn't need to pull it out. Close to popular fish and chip shop for our arrival supper! Very convenient for local shops and cafes, and a minute from the beach. Enjoyed great cliff top walk at Kingsdown and along beach front towards Sandwich Bay to watch sunset."
Mrs Helen Reaves, Jul 2017
"The cottage is compact and utterly charming, full of character. You could imagine it belonged to a Hogwart's professor. Kitchen is very well-equipped. Quiet location, a minute's walk to the beach, two minutes to pubs and high street shops. Very steep stairs were something of a challenge, especially with a suitcase. Beds were soft and supremely comfortable. On a practical level it gets four stars -you had to mentally prepare yourself for the climb to the top bedroom, there's no TV and we didn't know what to do with our recycling. As an experience, it gets five stars. It was a lovely and memorable place to stay."

"Myself and 4 friends stayed here for New Year's Eve, it was perfect. The cottage was clean, spacious and just right for the 5 of us. There needs to be more instructions left on parking and heating but other than that our group will be booking this cottage again for the summer. We loved the cottage, loved the beach and loved the atmosphere in the cottage."

"The cottage is very well appointed with such attention to detail that I wonder if the owners didn't previously live there. The decor is lovely. Really lovely welcome pack of fresh bread and meringues from the local bakery, which was appreciated. Whilst there is no parking outside the property (very narrow road!), there is a small car park 25 metres or so away, which is free from 6pm to 8am and they then allow you to park for 2 hours free so really it's free until 10am. There's also on-road parking a bit further down. We had no issues with parking at all. The negatives for us were the low ceiling height in some areas of the cottage (my husband is 6'3"), the master bedroom only having a standard double (hubby's feet hung off the end) and all mattresses being very soft (not old and saggy just very soft) so it was a bit like lying on a marshmallow, which didn't help with my back pain. For this reason alone we wouldn't return as neither of us got a lie in or a good nights sleep. The cottage is in a perfect location a stones throw from the beach, pubs, shops and restaurants but in a quiet road. If you don't mind a soft mattress I can't recommend this property enough."

"We LOVED our stay in Deal and in the historic conservation area. The cottage is beautifully decorated throughout and was a real home for us for our stay while we relocated from overseas. It was so nice we were so happy to came back after our initial stay! Keepers Cottages are also a fantastic team, and they really looked after us during our stay immediately solving a minor issue and getting the small details right. I can't say enough praise for the cottage, and in general Deal: a lovely surprise of a part of the world I wasn't very familiar with, and I'll definitely return!"
Humes Family, May 2015
"Had a great stay here in February. Lovely touches like flowers and cake left for us when we arrived. Everything clean and beautifully presented. Bed linen and towels all provided. House was lovely and warm. Loved the ceiling shower (can't remember the proper name). Lots of good information provided. House is in an interesting part of Deal - easy walk to High Street and sea just seconds away. Free parking just up the road as well. The only negatives I can think of were that the house wouldn't be good for tall people - I am 5'5" and banged my head on the way out of the kitchen on several occasions when I wasn't concentrating! Also the stairs are a little bit challenging - but interesting :-) Overall very highly recommended."

"Cosy, comfortable cottage. Welcome excellent with an Easter Card, cake and wine ( much appreciated). Good town for walking and not using the car. Our son came down from 'trendy' London and was surprised at how fashionable Deal is -praise indeed!"

"Quaint, charming and very comfortable cottage. We had such a lovely few days with children exploring Deal. We loved breakfast at Jasin's at the end of the Pier.
Thank you to Camilla for going out of her way to find us scooters and making our stay so comfortable."

"Really lovely cottage, excellent area with great views to the pubs. I couldn't have wished for a better way to spend my 40th birthday. Can't thank you enough for all the birthday bits that you organised or for that matter, my beautiful Dannie for taking me away."

"We chose 148 Middle Street because of its good location in the conservation area which was a stones throw from the high street and even closer to the beach. Middle Street is an extremely comfortable cottage;as soon as you enter through the front door, it is inviting with cosy throws on the sofa and chairs and furnished with an eclectic mix of old and new; a log burner kept us cosy in the evenings; a dining room overlooking the courtyard garden and a kitchen packed full of pretty vintage crockery. The beds were very comfortable and the power shower is great. The welcome pack of brownies and tarts from the local bakery were a treat for our tea on arrival. It really is a home from home and even better that it is very dog friendly. We all ate well, drank well, slept well and enjoyed our stay in Deal enormously. Thank you Camilla for looking after us so well too."

"Enchanting Cottage, sea view, wood burner, a stone's throw from one of the best fish and chip shops in around. We would gladly come here again. Thank you."

"Wonderful cottage, lovely town and a great holiday. A chest of drawers in the double bed would be fab! But a perfect week. We have left some brochures for local attractions."

Beate Boelter, Jul 2014
"We had a delightful, long weekend at 148 Middle Street in May. The location couldn’t be more perfect and the house is a gem, particularly loved the courtyard garden and it felt special to stay in such a charismatic & beautiful house. The surrounding streets reminiscent of the Georgian houses around historic Brick Lane in London. Our young daughter thought the stairs with original rope bannister and attic room, with sea view were magical. We couldn’t believe how peaceful it was, even though we were just a few houses up from the fantastic pub, The Ship. We would definitely love to stay there again."

"We stayed at 148 Middle Street in April 2014. This was the first holiday for my wife and I as a family with baby Alfie so it was important that we chose somewhere good as this would be our only holiday this year. We were not disappointed. 148 is a really cute little property on a beautiful street that is so quiet there were hardly any cars – so close to the seafront and the shops, for us it meant that we didn’t need to get in the car unless taking a trip out for the day. Inside, the property is recently decorated and tidy and with loads of character. The welcome hamper of bread, jam, milk, wine and scones went well above our expectations and such a welcoming touch. Camilla met us at the property in person which given that it was late on a Sunday was much appreciated and she made us feel very welcome and at home. The steep stairs were a slight challenge at first, but by the end we knew exactly how to negotiate them and when to ‘duck’! We loved Deal, 148 and Keeper’s Cottages and will I’m sure be back in the future."
Paul, Apr 2014
"Just a short note to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our four nights at 148 Middle Street. The cottage was lovely and perfectly situated for sea and town. The cottage was well equipped and we couldn't think of anything we needed which was not provided. Would certainly stay again. The booking process with Keepers was simple and straight forward and we found the flexible arrangements around key collection and drop off to suit us perfectly."
Mike, Apr 2014
"Beach Cottage, cosy rooms, lovely log burner and fab beds, really enjoyed being so close to the town and the sea."
Katy Peart and Jackie More, Mar 2014
"Just wanted to say what a lovely time we had at 148 and to thanks for your personal service which made all the difference. 148 is a beautiful cottage which has been decorated with real attention to detail and was a real pleasure to stay in. It was very well equipped and i really couldn't fault it. Congrats to the owners. And of course the location is excellent - probably the best place to stay in Deal. We will definitely be back."
