Tucked away in the heart of Sandwich, one of Kent’s most charming and historic towns, this beautifully renovated one bedroom bolthole is the perfect escape for couples seeking a quiet coastal break. Just a short stroll from the town’s medieval streets, independent shops and cafés, Crafters Cottage offers an ideal base for exploring both the town and the surrounding coastline and countryside. The house has been thoughtfully designed to create a welcoming space, with open plan living downstairs that feels both cosy and comfortable. The well equipped kitchen and living area makes it easy to relax, cook, and unwind together after a day out discovering Sandwich and the local area. Upstairs, the king size bedroom provides a peaceful haven for a relaxing nights sleep. A modern shower room completes the space. Outside, a pretty courtyard offers a private spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink. Crafters Cottage really is a true hidden gem in a wonderful location.

There are car parks around Sandwich and the neighbouring roads offer 2 hours free parking. You can park in Guild Hall Car park for £12 a day, or you can find 24/7 free parking in St George's Road.
- Check in is from 4pm and check out 10am
- Bed linen and bath towels are provided
- One small dog is welcome. Please note that this is charged at £25 per stay
- High speed Wi-Fi access throughout
- Electric heating and a log burner for extra warmth in the cooler months
- Little ones are welcome, but there is no travel cot or high chair on site. Guests are welcome to bring their own.
- A starter pack of sundries such as toilet rolls, washing up liquid and hand soaps are provided to get you started, but you may wish to bring more for your self catering holiday - especially if staying for over a week
- We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages to our beautiful home.
- Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
- Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
- Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
- For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property. No charging of e-scooters or vapes.
- Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
- Parties and loud music are not permitted.

The Cinque Port of Sandwich is arguably the best preserved medieval town in the country and Crafters Cottage is perfectly positioned for exploring it all. With the medieval streets, independent boutiques, cost cafés and traditional pubs, Sandwich offers a wonderful relaxed atmosphere just moments from your doorstep. For golf lovers, this area is a true paradise, with world-renowned Royal St. George's Golf Club as well as two other championship courses - Cinque Ports and Princes Golf Club. You really are spoilt for choice. Nature enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy, with scenic walks along the Saxon Shore Way, nearby nature reserves rich in wildlife, and a beautiful stretch of sand dunes and beach just a short drive away. The coastline here is perfect for long, refreshing walks and peaceful days by the sea. If you’re looking to explore further afield, the historic city of Canterbury is only ten miles away, with its rich history and excellent shopping. The seaside towns of Broadstairs and Deal are also within easy reach, ideal for traditional days out by the seaside.
