Fisherman’s Cottage
Tucked away on a quiet lane in the very heart of Deal, Fisherman’s Cottage is just seconds from the beach and surrounded by some of the town’s best cafés, restaurants and pubs. Sleeping up to four guests, the cottage combines character and comfort with thoughtful modern touches. The open plan ground floor creates a welcoming social space where everyone can relax together, whether cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, sharing meals around the table or unwinding in the cosy sitting area after a day by the sea. Tall ceilings and velux windows really enhance the light and the open plan layout of the kitchen. There is even a useful desk and workplace nook, ideal if you need to log on to work, catch up on emails or simply enjoy a quiet place to write. Outside the sunny decked courtyard offers a lovely spot for morning coffee, a relaxed evening drink or BBQ's in the summer. Upstairs you’ll find two inviting bedrooms, along with a newly renovated modern bathroom featuring a spacious walk in shower. One of the best things about Fisherman's Cottage is it's central location. Everything in Deal is within walking distance, from independent shops and coffee shops, tennis and padel clubs, to the pebble beach and long promenade. The train station is also just 5 minutes on foot. Walmer and Kingsdown are just a short stroll away too, making it the perfect base to explore the local area. If you prefer to travel by car, the owner has made things easier by providing parking permits. With beautiful coastal walks, historic castles, and world class golf courses on your doorstep, there is something here for everyone. Dogs are very welcome too.

When you arrive, you can pull up for a short time to unload. The owner has then provided guests with parking permits, please get in touch with Keepers Cottages to book this in. There are two car parks within walking distance, and Sainsbury's offers parking via Just Park, which you can pre book. You can also find free parking in Walmer.

- The property is dog friendly. There is a charge of £25 per dog, per stay
- The property has a Marshall speaker, which guests are welcome to use
- Fans are provided in both bedrooms, along with blackout curtains

- Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.

Fisherman’s Cottage is ideally located in Deal, set within easy reach of the town’s seafront, beach and excellent local amenities. The peaceful setting offers a calm retreat while still being moments from cafés, shops and the promenade, making it particularly well suited to guests looking to balance work and leisure. With everything close at hand, it’s easy to enjoy a quiet morning indoors before stepping out for a walk along the English Channel or a coffee by the sea.
Deal’s award-winning high street is a short stroll away, offering an inspiring mix of independent boutiques, artisan bakeries, delis and welcoming cafés, ideal for working remotely without feeling cut off. Seafront pubs and seafood restaurants provide relaxed spots for lunch or supper, while Deal Pier and the promenade offer a refreshing change of scene between meetings. Deal Castle and Walmer Castle add a sense of history and character to the town.
When work is done, coastal walking and cycling routes lead north towards Sandwich Bay or south to Kingsdown, perfect for clearing the head and enjoying open sea views. Deal railway station offers direct services to London, making Fisherman’s Cottage an excellent base for flexible stays that combine peaceful working days with seaside exploration.

Timeball Tower Museum
A Victorian signalling tower on the seafront, where the timeball still drops on the hour. Four floors of maritime history and smuggling tales, plus views from the top.
The Pop Up Cafe
Spread across a few knocked-together shopfronts on the High Street, The Pop Up Cafe serves homemade sourdough, cheese scones and seasonally changing soups – not to mention some of the best coffee in town!
The Pelican Rooms
A hidden gem tucked above The Blue Pelican on Beach Street, The Pelican Rooms offers facials, massage treatments and so much more in the wellness space. A good one to know for a slower morning in Deal.
Bygga Bo
A little taste of Sweden at Deal’s Saturday market. Bygga Bo bakes cinnamon buns and Fika treats that draw a queue before the stalls have properly opened. A Keepers favourite!
Deal Pier
Kent’s last surviving leisure pier, opened by the Duke of Edinburgh in 1957. Walk its length for sea views, cast a line, or stop at Deal Pier Kitchen at the far end. On a clear day you can see France.
Cycle to Kingsdown
Take the flat coastal path from Deal to Kingsdown, ideal for walking or cycling. Pass Walmer Castle & Gardens, explore Kingsdown’s beautiful beaches and seafront, including The Zetland Arms. Hire bikes locally from Hut 55.

Deal Castle
Deal has not one but three Tudor castles built by Henry VIII, namely Deal, Walmer and Sandown. The first two you can visit whilst Sandown (of which only a few stones remain) is on the cycle path that follows the coast.
