Inside, the house is modern and thoughtfully arranged for holiday living, creating a wonderful space for a relaxing escape with friends or family. The well equipped kitchen and welcoming living area offer plenty of room to relax after a day exploring the countryside, whether you are enjoying an evening meal or simply settling in for a quiet evening indoors. The barn sleeps six guests comfortably across three double bedrooms, each with comfortable beds and mattresses for a good night's sleep. Two modern bathrooms provide plenty of comfort and convenience for guests. There is even undercover garage parking for two cars. Whether you are planning a family holiday, a weekend with friends or a quiet escape for two with a little extra space, Rushbourne Granary will allow you to experience the very best that Kent has to offer. Dogs are very welcome too.

Well equipped kitchen with everything you need, including a fridge/freezer, induction hob, electric oven and coffee machine. The dining table seats 6 comfortably and there is a Smart TV in one corner of the room.

There are two private car parking spaces in an undercover garage. If you have more than two cars, there is the possibility of an extra space within the farm.

The bedrooms are all located on the first floor. The stairs are carpeted and have a bannister.

  • Check in is from 4pm and check out 10am
  • Bed linen and towels are provided
  • Dogs are welcome. Please note additional pet charges are £25 each per dog, per stay
  • There is an garden to the rear with a table, chairs, parasol and charcoal BBQ

  • The coffee machine is a DeLonghi Dolche Gusto - please bring pods with you
  • There is a washer/dryer in the utility, but please bring laundry tablets
  • A starter pack of sundries such as toilet rolls, washing up liquid and hand soaps are provided to get you started, but you may wish to bring more for your self catering holiday - especially if staying for over a week

  • We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages. Should any damages arise please note charges may be taken from your security deposit.
  • Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
  • Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
  • Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
  • For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
  • Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
  • Parties and loud music are not permitted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Rushbourne Granary is perfectly located for exploring the best of Kent. The Prince of Wales pub is walking distance and has great food. Blean Woods is an excellent for woodland walks, and is only a two minute drive away. We also recommend a trip to Reculver, famous for its historic Roman remains and for the testing site of the WW2 bouncing bomb (4 minutes by car). Wingham Wildlife Park and Howletts Zoo are also excellent for families, with a variety of animals, dinosaur park, soft play and picnic area. For a day out by the seaside, we recommend a trip to Whitstable which is famous for its locally farmed Oysters, wonderful harbour, seal trips and independent shops. Canterbury Cathedral is only 5 miles away too.

There is a Delonghi Dulce Gusto machine in the kitchen.

The house is suitable for working if you have a deadline to meet or emails to catch up on.

From exploring the ancient cathedral city to discovering hidden countryside pubs and coastal walks, there is something here for every kind of getaway. Surrounded by open fields and quiet country lanes, the barn enjoys a wonderfully tranquil setting while still being within easy reach of the coast and the historic attractions of Canterbury. The nearby villages and countryside are perfect for long walks, cycling and slow mornings enjoying the fresh country air, while Canterbury itself offers a vibrant mix of independent shops, restaurants and historic architecture, centred around the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral.
