Tally Ho is a grade II listed former Ale House that changed to private residential use at the start of the 20th Century. Tally Ho is packed full of character with many of its original period features. You will find a large open fireplaces with exposed brick chimney beasts in many of the rooms as well as beamed ceilings throughout. The furnishings completely complement the original Georgian character of this building. Interestingly, Tally Ho is actually two separate buildings centred around a pretty courtyard providing distinctive living and sleeping areas so just perfect for larger families and small groups. In the main house, there are two bedrooms plus a bathroom and across the sunny courtyard is the mezzanine with its living room, bedroom and shower room. There is a pretty inner courtyard which is accessible from the glazed passageway which connects the two properties. The accommodation sleeps up to six guests in total. The galley-style kitchen is reached through the dining room and is well-equipped. There is a lovely window that looks out over the courtyard and there are two stylish barstools under a floating shelf perfectly positioned to enjoy the view. French doors lead to the courtyard or you can continue along the hallway with its decorative Moroccan style floor tiles and ornate mirror to the second part of the house. Here there is a comfortable living room decorated in an wonderful, dramatic style with sofas and armchairs galore. Upstairs is the mezzanine level offering a further spacious double bedroom. Tally Ho is located on historic Middle Street, perfectly positioned between the High street with its artisan food shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants, and is also just minutes from the lovely long seafront promenade and pier. For guests who prefer country walks and historic sites, there’s plenty of choice nearby, including both Deal and Walmer castles, and a fabulous coastal walk to Kingsdown and St Margaret’s Bay. Golfers are spoilt for choice with the local clubs of Royal Cinque Ports and Walmer & Kingsdown golf clubs. Whilst the championship courses of Royal St George’s, and Princes are a short drive away.

Ground Floor

Front door leads into the formal dining room with a table to seat six comfortably and an antique study desk with chair. This room has a large open fireplace with exposed brick chimney breast, floorboards, white panelled walls with Deal artwork and a TV over the fireplace. The furniture in this room is in keeping with the original features of the house. The window overlooks Middle Street.

Sleeps 2 - Double bedroom with pine chest of drawers, beamed ceiling, two side tables with lamps. Carpeted. Attractive stripped wooden doors and gorgeous brick fireplace with TV above. Antique chair.

Attractive family bathroom connecting doors to both the master bedroom and the single bedroom. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and WC.

Office

A spacious room with a desk and chair, perfect as an office space for those needing to work during their stay.

Kitchen

Galley style integrated kitchen that's well-equipped with electric oven and hob, Smeg fridge/freezer, microwave, two handy bar stools under a floating shelf at the far end.

Hallway with Moroccan style decorative floor tiles and ornate mirror leading to the mezzanine.

Rear Reception Room

A bright social space with two sofas and two armchairs. Vintage fringed floor lamp, a huge mirror and picture on the walls. TV set in the wonderful brick fireplace and wood panelling.

Sleeps 2 - Double room with lovely grey and wood matching side tables and chest of drawers. Floorboards and rugs. Hanging rack for clothes.

Attic Bedroom

Sleeps 2 - twin bedroom. Brightly decorated furnishings have been used with rugs over the floorboards. Painted chest of drawers. Please note there is no door to this room and the ceilings are low. Please note this is not a full height so therefore not suitable for adults.
