The Green House
The Green House is an elegant and eco-conscious holiday home, beautifully decorated by its creative owners with plenty of bespoke details including heritage paint, a terrazzo worktop in the kitchen, stunning abstract art and a cosy wood-burner. Not only is is just seconds away from the seafront, popular conservation area and famous pier but it also has it's own private sunny garden complete with sub-tropical plants and two lovely seating areas. The house also benefits from a sociable open plan sitting and dining room, and a large kitchen which leads to the garden. The underfloor heating and wood burner make this house perfect for year-round stays and little ones will enjoy the bunk bed room, whilst grown ups will enjoy soaking in the tub after a busy day exploring on the coast. Sleeping up to six guests comfortably in three spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms, the house is perfect for friends and families.

Deal
The Green House is set in Deal, offering a calm and comfortable base within easy reach of the town’s much-loved seaside life.
The seafront and promenade are a short walk away, making it easy to slip into early morning walks by the sea, gentle swims or unhurried evenings watching the light change across the English Channel. This part of Deal feels relaxed and residential, ideal for switching off while still feeling closely connected to the town. A short stroll brings you into Deal’s elegant Georgian streets and vibrant centre. The award-winning high street is filled with independent shops, antiques dealers, bakeries, butchers and local delis, alongside cosy cafés, wine bars and welcoming pubs. Seafront restaurants line the promenade, perfect for long lunches or supper by the water, while Deal Pier remains a classic focal point and always worth a visit. Deal Castle and Walmer Castle sit close by, adding depth and history to days spent exploring.
For venturing further, coastal paths lead north towards Sandwich Bay or south to Kingsdown, offering wide skies and open shoreline ideal for walking and cycling. Deal railway station provides direct services to London in just over an hour and a half, making The Green House a wonderful base for short breaks or longer stays on the Kent coast.

An Edwardian arts centre on Stanhope Road with a varied programme of music, theatre and film. A good one for an evening in Deal, whatever the weather, and full of local spirit.
Timeball Tower Museum
A Victorian signalling tower on the seafront, where the timeball still drops on the hour. Four floors of maritime history and smuggling tales, plus views from the top.
The Pop Up Cafe
Spread across a few knocked-together shopfronts on the High Street, The Pop Up Cafe serves homemade sourdough, cheese scones and seasonally changing soups – not to mention some of the best coffee in town!
The Pelican Rooms
A hidden gem tucked above The Blue Pelican on Beach Street, The Pelican Rooms offers facials, massage treatments and so much more in the wellness space. A good one to know for a slower morning in Deal.
Bygga Bo
A little taste of Sweden at Deal’s Saturday market. Bygga Bo bakes cinnamon buns and Fika treats that draw a queue before the stalls have properly opened. A Keepers favourite!
Deal Pier
Kent’s last surviving leisure pier, opened by the Duke of Edinburgh in 1957. Walk its length for sea views, cast a line, or stop at Deal Pier Kitchen at the far end. On a clear day you can see France.
Cycle to Kingsdown
Take the flat coastal path from Deal to Kingsdown, ideal for walking or cycling. Pass Walmer Castle & Gardens, explore Kingsdown’s beautiful beaches and seafront, including The Zetland Arms. Hire bikes locally from Hut 55.

Kent boasts championship links golf at Royal St George’s, host of The Open, alongside Prince’s Golf Club, Walmer & Kingsdown and Royal Cinque Ports, offering world-class coastal courses and sweeping sea views.
Deal Castle
Deal has not one but three Tudor castles built by Henry VIII, namely Deal, Walmer and Sandown. The first two you can visit whilst Sandown (of which only a few stones remain) is on the cycle path that follows the coast.
