Perched above the unspoilt beach of Kingsdown, this stylish self-catering retreat boasts uninterrupted sea views from most rooms in the house. The large open plan kitchen and dining area is perfect for gathering with friends and family, and the sitting room with bay windows is a wonderful space to gaze out to the ever changing sea and sky views. There are four bedrooms, two of which have sea views, and two bathrooms. You can step out onto the beach directly from the house for a dip in the sea in just a few seconds or walk up to the iconic white chalk cliffs in a few minutes. If you can drag yourself away from the idyllic setting, the vibrant coastal town of Deal is a short drive, or a lovely beach walk away. This holiday home is perfect for groups of friends or families with children looking to explore the beautiful Kent coastline.

Property Details

Living room

A spacious living room with two large, comfortable sofas, TV, an open fireplace and bay windows looking directly out to sea.

Open plan kitchen/dining room

Beautiful open-plan and well equipped kitchen with top of the range gas cooker. There is a dining table at one end with seating for six, and bar stools at the island. There is also a wood burner in the kitchen, perfect for cosy winter evenings.

Utility/ boot room

Fabulous laundry/ boot room just off the kitchen with washing facilities, extra storage and another fridge/freezer.

Conservatory

The conservatory overlooks the beautiful lawned garden. There is ample seating in here with two additional sofas.

Ground floor bathroom

Downstairs there is a brand new modern walk-in shower room, WC and basin.

Ground floor bedroom

On the ground floor is a spacious double bedroom, complete with a stand-alone bath tub.

Bedroom 1

Sleeps 2 - with a king size bed, chest of drawers, bay window and shutters.

Bedroom 2

Sleeps 2 - large double bedroom with bay windows and shutters. Sea views.

Shower room

Family bathroom with a bath with an overhead shower, WC and handbasin.

Elevated position with views of the sea. Fabulous new wild garden at the front of the house complete with sandstone fire pit and seating area.

Parking available for one car by the gate of the house. This space doesn't look like a normal parking space so please don't be put off at first glance, as there is plenty of space for your car. Further parking can be found along the beach, where you should find ample spaces.

  • Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am
  • Bed linen and towels are provided, no beach towels
  • Wi-Fi access throughout
  • Central heating throughout
  • One small, well behaved dog welcome
  • Dogs are welcome for an additional charge of £25 per stay
  • There is a washing machine in the utility room off the kitchen, no laundry tablets provided
  • A starter pack of sundries such as toilet rolls, washing up liquid and hand soaps are provided to get you started, but you may wish to bring more for your self catering holiday - especially if staying for over a week

We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages to our beautiful home.

  • Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
  • Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
  • Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
  • For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
  • Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
  • Parties and loud music are not permitted.

The beach is less than a minute away from the property. You can actually walk down from the front garden, down some little steps through the gate and cross the road to the seafront.

Yes, there is a SMEG coffee machine, which takes ground coffee and has a steam wand for milk. Please note that we do not provide the ground coffee. The Zetland Arms does lovely coffee, which is just a short walk from the property, and opens from 9.30am.

Yes, you can easily walk into the village of Kingsdown, where there is a newsagents (open 7am-5.30pm daily), and a brilliant butchers selling pies, meat, cheese and more. Note that the butchers is closed on a Sunday/Monday.

Yes, there is a spacious double bedroom next to the downstairs bathroom,. This bedroom has a bathtub and patio doors out onto the side of the garden.

Kingsdown is a charming pebble bay sandwiched between St Margaret's Cliff and Walmer; with Deal being only 15 minutes away on foot. Your holiday home is located right on the sea front, perfect for those looking to have a seaside break away. Kingsdown is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It's a very pretty village, filled with gorgeous properties and a couple of friendly pubs to grab a drink in the sunshine looking out to the cliffs and the sea. Whether you're looking for a family fun summer holiday or a winters break to enjoy cosy evening's in, whilst listening to the waves crashing against the pebbles, you are bound to enjoy your stay in Kingsdown. The location, Oldstairs Bay is at the far end of Kingsdown beach. It's next to a popular coastal footpath that rises up to the White Cliffs. Kingsdown is a great base for exploring this beautiful region of East Kent.
