Welcome to Flint House, a truly special holiday home in the sought-after location of Kingsdown. This coastal home has been furnished to a very high standard with a homely and coastal feel to match its location. The vaulted ceilings and open plan living areas add to the sense of space for families and friends to enjoy. French doors lead into a pretty walled garden providing a sunny sheltered place to relax. Some rooms have sea views looking out towards St Margaret's Bay and the White Cliffs and the beach is only a few hundred yards away. You can bring your four-legged friend with you too.Upstairs are two Kingsize bedrooms, both ensuite and the snug on the ground floor can be converted into a private bedroom with a single sofa bed and a ground floor shower room. Located on a pebble road, which leads directly to the beach, Flint House lies amongst a pretty row of cottages. The house would suit couples, families or a group of friends looking for a seaside getaway. There are two pubs very close by, The Zetland Arms and The Rising Sun and the pretty village of Kingsdown is only a short walk away.The vibrant town of Deal is approximately two miles away. For those wishing to cycle or walk, there is a beautiful coastal cycle and walking path that runs along the entire beach-front and takes you to Walmer Castle, quiet beaches and into the heart of Deal.

The bedrooms are located on the first floor. The stairs are open-riser stairs, so please bare this in mind when taking dogs or younger children.

- Central heating throughout plus a wood burner for additional warmth in the sitting room

- Dogs are welcome for an additional charge of £25 per stay
- There is a washing machine and dryer in the kitchen, no laundry tablets provided
- A starter pack of sundries such as toilet rolls, washing up liquid and hand soaps are provided to get you started, but you may wish to bring more for your self catering holiday - especially if staying for over a week

- We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages. Should any damages arise please note charges may be taken from your security deposit.
- Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
- Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
- Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
- For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
- Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
- Parties and loud music are not permitted.

The property is almost on the beach itself, but it takes around 3 minutes to walk down to the seafront. Once you leave the property from the side gate, turn to the left and walk along South Road until you reach The Zetland car park. You can also walk across South Road and walk almost straight ahead to get to the rock pooling area of the beach (once the tide is out).
No, there is no coffee machine at the property but there is a stove top which you are welcome to use throughout your stay. You can also grab a coffee from The Zetland Arms each morning (they are open from 9am each morning) and a Bygga Bo cinnamon bun - we'd highly recommend these.
Yes, the house is dog friendly. The courtyard is enclosed so it's really safe for all types of dogs (however good at escaping they are). With the beach being so close and dog friendly all year round, this is the perfect house for dogs.

Flint House is set in the heart of Kingsdown, a charming seaside village nestled between rolling countryside and the open shoreline of the English Channel. The beach is just a short walk away, where colourful beach huts line the shore and calm waters invite swimming, paddle boarding and relaxed days by the sea. Kingsdown’s peaceful pace and strong village feel make it an ideal place to slow down and enjoy coastal life.
The village offers a small but well-loved collection of local amenities, including traditional pubs, a village shop and a respected local butcher, all contributing to its warm community atmosphere. Coastal footpaths form part of the Saxon Shore Way, leading north towards Walmer and Deal or south beneath the chalk cliffs towards St Margaret’s Bay. The Zetland Arms, set right on the beach, is a firm favourite for food and drinks with far-reaching views across the Channel.
Deal is easily reached along the coast, offering an award-winning high street, historic pier and excellent dining, while Walmer Castle and Deal Castle sit en route.
