With Folkestone Terrace being a period property, it has certain quirks such as steep and narrow staircases - please take extra care when going up or down the stairs. The stairs are very steep at this property and spread across all three floors so this property is not suitable for those with mobility issues or young children.

The property is a 7 minute drive to the Harbour Arm, or a 16 minute walk. Once at the Harbour Arm we would recommend visiting the Goods Yard for Cluck and Cow burgers, Barney and the Pizza, and Floc Bar. You can also walk right down to the end of the Harbour Arm and enjoy a drink the Champagne Bar, or play mini golf along the seafront.
You can park outside the property for 1 hour. There is also parking along Dover Road, which offers 2 hours free, on-street parking.

Yes, there is a Nespresso coffee machine at the house. Please note that this machine takes the small pods, and only a couple will be provided on your arrival so we recommend to also bring your own. You can get these at most supermarkets or online if ordered in advance of your stay.
Folkestone Terrace is set in the heart of Folkestone, a creative coastal town where historic streets meet an ever-evolving cultural scene. The seafront and harbour are within easy reach, offering bracing walks beside the English Channel and wide views along the coast. Folkestone’s characterful neighbourhoods and gently sloping streets make it rewarding to explore on foot, with galleries, cafés and viewpoints woven throughout the town.
The Creative Quarter is a particular highlight, known for its independent shops, artist studios and cafés tucked into narrow streets above the Old High Street. Down by the water, Folkestone Harbour Arm offers an ever-changing mix of food stalls, pop-up bars and live events, all set against expansive sea views. Lower Leas Coastal Park stretches between town and shore, providing beautifully kept gardens, walking routes and open green space framed by the coastline.
Beyond Folkestone, the Kent Downs and surrounding countryside offer excellent walking and cycling, while nearby Sandgate and Hythe provide quieter coastal days out. Folkestone West and Central stations offer high-speed rail services to London, making Folkestone Terrace an ideal base for short breaks or longer stays combining seaside living with culture, food and easy travel connections.
