Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
Parties and loud music are not permitted.
Pond Cottage is set in the heart of Egerton, a quintessential Kent village surrounded by rolling countryside and timeless rural scenery. With its village green, historic church and quiet lanes, Egerton offers a wonderfully peaceful setting, ideal for slowing down and enjoying the rhythms of country life. The surrounding landscape is rich with footpaths and bridleways, making it perfect for gentle walks straight from the doorstep.
The village itself has a strong sense of community, with local amenities close by, while nearby villages offer farm shops, country pubs and local producers showcasing the best of Kent’s Garden of England reputation. The wider area is ideal for exploring on foot or by bike, with views across farmland, hedgerows and woodland that change beautifully with the seasons. The closest pub is the Rose and Crown at Pluckley.
For days out, the historic town of Ashford is within easy reach, offering shopping, dining and rail connections, while the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty lies close by for longer walks and scenic drives. Ashford International provides high-speed rail services to London, making Pond Cottage an excellent base for restorative countryside breaks or longer stays exploring rural Kent.
