Ivy House is an impressive Grade II listed Georgian home in the heart of Deal, offering a rare combination of space, privacy and an exceptional central location. Beautifully restored and thoughtfully furnished, this detached house sleeps up to eight guests and is just a short stroll from Deal’s award winning High Street and seafront. With two separate sitting rooms, a large kitchen and dining room, four generous bedrooms and a wonderfully secluded garden, there’s plenty of room to come together, and space to spread out. Downstairs, two beautiful reception rooms provide a choice of places to relax. The main sitting room, with its log burner and Smart TV, is perfect for cosy evenings together, while the second offers a quieter space for reading, morning coffee or simply relaxing. It’s a layout that works particularly well for families, groups of friends and multi-generational stays. At the heart of the house is the spacious, well equipped kitchen and dining room, with plenty of room for long breakfasts and dinners together. Pick up fresh fish, meat and local produce from Deal’s excellent independent shops before returning home to cook and gather around the table. Doors open onto one of Ivy House’s real highlights: its large, private and secluded garden. With a patio with outdoor seating and plenty of space to sit and dine outside, it feels remarkably peaceful considering just how central the house is. Upstairs are four comfortable bedrooms - two doubles and two twins – including a double with its own ensuite shower room, alongside a family bathroom. While perfect for a full house, Ivy House is equally appealing to smaller groups and couples who simply want the luxury of more space and a beautiful home to themselves. Step outside and you’re moments from the very best of Deal: independent shops, cafés and restaurants, the historic Middle Street conservation area and, of course, the beach and seafront. - There are security cameras at the front and back of the property. The front door has a ring doorbell. At the back of the property there is a security camera, but please note that this can be covered during guest stays and has no audio recording.
- We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages. Should any damages arise please note charges may be taken from your security deposit.
- Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
- For fire safety reasons, smoking or vaping are not permitted inside or outside the property at any time. Please no charging of vapes or e-scooters and lastly, please do not use candles in the property.
- Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
- Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
- Parties and loud music are not permitted.
- Stag and hen parties are not permitted.
- This house is strictly pet free, no dogs, cats or other pets allowed at any time.
- Guests must not use Blue Tack, Selotape or similar on any of the walls to hang decorations/banners.

Deal
Ivy House is set in the heart of Deal, a much-loved seaside town on Kent’s Heritage Coast known for its relaxed pace and elegant Georgian streets. The seafront and pebble beach are within easy reach, ideal for morning walks along the promenade or quieter moments by the water as the light shifts across the English Channel. Deal’s compact layout makes it easy to explore on foot, with the shoreline, cafés and shops all close at hand.
The town’s award-winning high street is a particular highlight, offering a vibrant mix of independent boutiques, antiques shops, artisan bakeries and well-stocked delis. Seafront pubs and seafood restaurants provide relaxed dining throughout the day, while cosy cafés and wine bars are tucked into the streets behind the promenade. Deal Pier remains a focal point for classic seaside views, and nearby Deal Castle and Walmer Castle offer a fascinating insight into the town’s rich naval and maritime heritage.
For those keen to explore further, scenic coastal walking and cycling routes head north towards Sandwich Bay or south to Kingsdown, both offering wide skies and open sea views. Deal railway station provides direct services to London, making Ivy House an excellent base for short breaks and longer stays on the Kent coast.

An Edwardian arts centre on Stanhope Road with a varied programme of music, theatre and film. A good one for an evening in Deal, whatever the weather, and full of local spirit.
Timeball Tower Museum
A Victorian signalling tower on the seafront, where the timeball still drops on the hour. Four floors of maritime history and smuggling tales, plus views from the top.
The Pop Up Cafe
Spread across a few knocked-together shopfronts on the High Street, The Pop Up Cafe serves homemade sourdough, cheese scones and seasonally changing soups – not to mention some of the best coffee in town!
The Pelican Rooms
A hidden gem tucked above The Blue Pelican on Beach Street, The Pelican Rooms offers facials, massage treatments and so much more in the wellness space. A good one to know for a slower morning in Deal.
Bygga Bo
A little taste of Sweden at Deal’s Saturday market. Bygga Bo bakes cinnamon buns and Fika treats that draw a queue before the stalls have properly opened. A Keepers favourite!
Deal Pier
Kent’s last surviving leisure pier, opened by the Duke of Edinburgh in 1957. Walk its length for sea views, cast a line, or stop at Deal Pier Kitchen at the far end. On a clear day you can see France.
Cycle to Kingsdown
Take the flat coastal path from Deal to Kingsdown, ideal for walking or cycling. Pass Walmer Castle & Gardens, explore Kingsdown’s beautiful beaches and seafront, including The Zetland Arms. Hire bikes locally from Hut 55.

Kent boasts championship links golf at Royal St George’s, host of The Open, alongside Prince’s Golf Club, Walmer & Kingsdown and Royal Cinque Ports, offering world-class coastal courses and sweeping sea views.
Deal Castle
Deal has not one but three Tudor castles built by Henry VIII, namely Deal, Walmer and Sandown. The first two you can visit whilst Sandown (of which only a few stones remain) is on the cycle path that follows the coast.
