From here, you can walk straight out to historic Middle Street, with the beach and seafront just beyond.

Old Chelsea ia a small, seaside cottage. It is very old and characterful, with low ceilings in places and steep stairs. The property is therefore best suited to a couple, and is less suitable for the elderly or young children. It would not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
Old Chelsea is set in the heart of Deal, a much-loved seaside town on Kent’s Heritage Coast, known for its relaxed pace and elegant Georgian architecture. The seafront and pebble beach are within easy reach, perfect for morning walks along the promenade or quieter moments by the water as the light changes across the English Channel. Deal’s compact layout makes it easy to explore on foot, with cafés, shops and the shoreline all close at hand.
The town’s award-winning high street is a particular highlight, offering an excellent mix of independent boutiques, antiques shops, artisan bakeries and well-stocked delis. Seafront pubs and seafood restaurants provide relaxed dining throughout the day, while cosy cafés and wine bars are tucked into the streets behind. Deal Pier offers classic seaside views, and nearby Deal Castle and Walmer Castle provide a fascinating insight into the town’s long naval and maritime heritage.
For days further afield, coastal walking and cycling routes lead north towards Sandwich Bay or south to Kingsdown, both offering wide skies and open sea views. Deal railway station provides direct services to London, making Old Chelsea an ideal base for short breaks and longer stays on the Kent coast.
