Oyster Cottage
Oyster Cottage is perfectly located just off the trendy Harbour Street, and high street which has an abundance of friendly and lively cafes, restaurants, pubs and boutique shops. It is also only a few minutes’ walk to the harbour where you can watch the fishing boats come and go or book a trip out to the legendary Maunsell sea forts, or maybe go seal watching. Whitstable also has a thriving arts scene, and live music is a popular feature in many of the pubs.The cottage has a lovely, sociable, open plan living space at the back of the property with kitchen, dining and sitting areas all overlooking the garden, accessed via bifold doors. It also has a cosy separate sitting room with wood burner, and family bathroom. Upstairs are two good sized bedrooms.Further afield are the historic market town of Faversham and the mediaeval City of Canterbury, both great for days out, as well as some lovely coastal walking and cycling routes.

- Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
- Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
- Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
- For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
- Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.

Whitstable
Oyster Cottage is set in Whitstable, a much-loved seaside town celebrated for its working harbour, oyster heritage and relaxed coastal pace. The beach and seafront are close by, making it easy to enjoy early morning walks along the shore or linger by the water watching fishing boats and oyster dredgers move across the estuary. Whitstable’s compact layout and easygoing atmosphere make exploring on foot a pleasure throughout the year.
The harbour is the heart of the town, surrounded by colourful fish huts, local markets and some of the best seafood on the Kent coast. Harbour Street and the High Street offer an engaging mix of independent shops, galleries, cafés and record stores, while traditional pubs and oyster bars reflect Whitstable’s long maritime history. Just to the east, Tankerton Slopes provide open green space, far-reaching sea views and access to the beach huts and shoreline below.
For those keen to explore further, the Whitstable Coastal Trail links the town with Herne Bay and Reculver, while the Crab and Winkle Way offers a scenic walking and cycling route towards Canterbury. Whitstable railway station provides direct connections to London, making Oyster Cottage an excellent base for short seaside breaks or longer stays discovering north Kent.

Harbour Street near Whitstable Harbour is lined with independent boutiques, galleries and cafés, leading into the High Street and town centre. In nearby Tankerton, grassy slopes, colourful beach huts and the famous Street sandbank define Tankerton Beach.
