Victory Cottage
Warning – book a stay at Victory Cottage and you may not want to leave! This fabulous holiday home has been recently renovated to create a wonderful stylish and spacious coastal retreat right on the beach in Kingsdown. Many of the rooms have stunning sea views over the beach and distant horizon, and the garden and first floor balcony allow guests to truly enjoy the coastal setting.The large open plan kitchen and dining room is perfect for socialising, and the upstairs sitting room with access to the balcony is another lovely space. There are four bedrooms, one leading onto the balcony and another to a small sunny courtyard, and two bathrooms.The cottage is next to The Zetland Arms, a lovely, family friendly pub which also sits on the beach which serves food and is perfectly located if you fancy an aperitif or a break from cooking.And if you can drag yourself away from this idyllic setting, the vibrant town of Deal is a short drive, or a lovely beach walk, and in the other direction is a fabulous walk along the beach or along the iconic white chalk cliffs to St Margaret’s Bay and beyond so plenty of things to do, places to explore and history in which to immerse yourself.

Kingsdown
Victory Cottage is set in Kingsdown, a much-loved seaside village on Kent’s Heritage Coast where days unfold at an easy, unhurried pace. The beach is just a short stroll away, lined with colourful beach huts and calm, gently shelving waters that are perfect for swimming, paddleboarding or simply spending long hours by the sea.
Kingsdown’s setting, nestled between open countryside and the English Channel, makes it feel quietly restorative and wonderfully grounded. The village itself has a strong sense of community, with a village shop, an excellent local butcher and traditional pubs all within easy walking distance. Coastal footpaths run directly through Kingsdown, forming part of the Saxon Shore Way and leading north towards Walmer and Deal or south beneath the chalk cliffs towards St Margaret’s Bay, with views of France on a clear day.
The Zetland Arms, set right on the beach, is a firm favourite for food and drinks enjoyed with wide sea views stretching across the Channel towards France. Deal is easily reached along the coast, offering an award-winning high street, historic pier and a fantastic choice of cafés, pubs and restaurants. Walmer Castle and Deal Castle sit along the route, adding depth and history to coastal days out. With rail links to London from nearby Walmer and Martin Mill, Victory Cottage is an ideal base for short breaks or longer stays exploring the Kent coast.

From Kingsdown, enjoy one of Kent’s most scenic coastal walks towards St Margaret’s Bay, with the option to continue on to Dover for experienced walkers, taking in dramatic cliffs and sweeping Channel views along the way. There are also multiple places to stop off and enjoy a pub lunch or well deserved pint.
