Water Farm House is set in the village of Stowting, nestled at the foot of the North Downs where rolling countryside, quiet lanes and open farmland define the landscape. This peaceful rural setting feels wonderfully removed from everyday pace, with big skies and gently changing views that invite you to slow down and settle into country life.
Walks and bridleways run straight from the village, making it easy to step out into the surrounding hills and enjoy the Kent countryside at its most unspoilt. Despite its tranquil position, Stowting is superbly placed for exploring east Kent. The nearby villages of Lyminge and Etchinghill offer traditional pubs and local shops, while the historic city of Canterbury is within easy reach for culture, independent shopping and dining, not to mention its famous cathedral. To the south, the coast opens up around Hythe and Folkestone, where long promenades, beaches and the creative energy of the harbour arm provide a change of pace from rural calm.
Excellent road links via the A20 and M20 make day trips simple, whether heading towards the coast, countryside or further afield. With the Kent Downs, historic towns and seaside all close at hand, Water Farm House offers a beautifully balanced base for short breaks or longer stays, combining true rural tranquillity with easy access to some of Kent’s most rewarding destinations.
